How many native pond plants will you need?
Native pond plants vary in growth and vigour. Aim for half the pond surface to be covered with plants such as water lilies, deep water plants or floating plants. Add Oxygenating plants they are vital releasing oxygen and help keep the ponds water fresher. For the edge and shallower areas, plants a varied selection of native marginal pond plants for interest and shelter, as well as contributing to the ecosystem.
